Hello.

2013 Expy el xlt 4x4.

Curious, Google states it uses orange antifreeze. seen some vids on yt and they are using yellow. Which one is it?

After I remove the current fluid and close the drain plug, do I have to bleed it? How?

This Expy has 261000 miles. Still runs good. did notice today, after sitting for about 6 months, it was hesitating after I installed a new battery. First, it would not crank, then after a while it cranked but would turn off right after. I kept giving it gas, and eventually it would not turn off, but the rpm would be fluctuating a lot between .5 and 1 rpms. I drove it around, and it finally seemed to get back on track. Any ideas about the turning off and the rpm issue? Is it normal after sitting around for a while with a dead battery?

thank you.

The Ford Orange coolant has been superseded by the Yellow in 2019. My 2011-2018 trucks came with Orange and the 2019 and up came with Yellow. It will mix with no issues.

The answer to your second part is yes, the computers have to relearn how to operate the engine and transmission after extended dead battery. It is the same as resetting the KAM, the keep alive memory. It makes the computers relearn how you drive after repairs.

OK. Just to be clear, I can either flush it and use yellow, or I can mix yellow into the current orange and mixing it will not hurt the engine? thx

If i wanted to I can continue to use orange? thx
