hi i'm new here. i have a 2001 EB with 2" spacers and torsion crank, cut fenders on 37's IMG0011A.jpg

i have been thinking about a body lift because i need clearance from the tire hitting the passenger side pinch weld/AC line bracket.

basically all i'm asking is, what are your thoughts on body lifts? if you have one on an expo is it good on the trail? i dont want to go real high. i just need to keep the body away from the tire. do they feel all floppy in the rough stuff? let me know your thoughts.

A 2" body lift should be fine (and easier to install)

I have a 3" and as you can see, I really don't need that extra inch of clearance.

but i think the 3" BL comes with bumper realignment brackets. that way you dont have the gap. but dam your expo looks good. you have 37s and only 2" of lift??? i guess thermo thought he was badass. now look at this guy! thats really cool.

i really like that front bumper i was looking at one just like it is that from bluelake off road? what do you think about it. i'm just worried about weight.

well 2" basically got me just enough room to get it around town the tires don't rub anything @ full crank in either direction on flat ground, but if i'm turning and hit a bump thats when they start to hit stuff. for any terrain the body is just going to chew the crap out of the tires. i did cut the front and rear fenders about 3" i just used the factory fender trim as a stencil. then got some of that rubber pinch molding from JC whitney to dress up the edges. i'm thinking about the body lift to keep the price down so i can get the cool stuff, i desperately need gears and air lockers would be sick. as far as bumper i'm going to try to build my own, start with the rear w/ tire carrier and then see how that goes.

p.s. what code do i need for pics on here?

You just need
but the IMG code is off on this thread for some reason. It happens some times. Maybe it's a post count thing. Usually there is a thing you just click on in your post that looks like a picture of a mountain or something on a yellow background that automatically puts your image code around your link. You just have to delete the http that is there or you'll get it twice in your copy/paste
