I have a '97 EB Expy and upon purchase did not really consider the air suspension too much. I am approaching 100,000 miles and I am certain that the original suspension is still on it. Well the thing rides like a boat, literally. When I say boat I mean the thing has a lot of body roll when taking turns. It sways more that I would think is normal. In addtion, it does not absorb bumps too well.

I was considering converting from the Air suspension to the American Air Coil Spring kit. So my questions are:

1. Has anyone done this conversion and are you satisfied with the results?

2. If not satisfied, why?

3. Have I misdiagnosed the issue?

4. Anyone have other suggestions?

might be because your truck is huge, tall, and heavy that it leans so much. ANother reason might be to keep you from getting too much confidence in your ride and trying to corner harder than it should.

I notice the same affects on mine, I have a 2000 with air suspension. I just try to take it easy over bumps and such. Turning is a lil different than my 03 SRT-4 I sold for this big behemoth

I have driven and ridden in other Expys and they did not handle like this one. My Buddy also has a Navigator and the ride is much nicer with his air susp. I realize this is a 5000 lb truck so I dont expect it to handle like my Twin Turbo Z, but I still dont think this is normal. Thanks for the feedback in any case.
