Hello everyone,

I am wondering what brand of parts to consider for a full front suspension rebuild in the spring, as in the shocks, control arms, ball joints, linkages, sway bar ect ?

I am NOT wanting a lift kit or to alter the factory geometry of the vehicle at all....

I don't do any trailer or boat towing or off-roading, but do occasionally haul some building materials, lumber, furniture ect...

I have already selected (but not purchased) a matched set of slotted brake rotors and full ceramic pads, as well as new rims & tires, and am now looking at my options for a new master cylinder, SS lines, hubs, & wheel bearings too.

I want to keep it like it was from the factory, but with better quality/better looking parts that will last until one of us passes onto the great junkyard in the sky :D

Any suggestions/links will be appreciated, so TIA !

As for anything in the suspension with a joint, I have swapped everything to greasable Moog joints. Sure, it's another maintenance item but I simply don't believe in sealed, greased-for-life ball joints especially considering the weight of the vehicle and how hard I get into the beans out on BLM land hahaha

I have had great experiences with Detroit Axle parts. Have done a similar job on a Chevy 1500, a Ford Super Duty, and will be doing my 2012 expedition limited 4x4 next spring. They have very well built parts and have met or exceeded OEM parts on my vehicles. And the u-joints and all flexible joints came with grease zerts! If there is any drawback, it is all the parts have been black. They had a nice finish, but only black. Oh, and all of mine were 4x4's, and on the Super Duty we also changed the axles u-joints. Good luck with your project!

Thanks to both of you for the info !

I got a recommendation from someone else for the Moog parts too, so I may go that way, but I'm about to order a new matched set of slotted brake rotors & full ceramic pads from Detroit Axle, which claims to have exact fit parts for my '011...and will check to see if they have the suspension parts too :D

If anyone else has any other suggestions, I'm listening...

TIA
