hey everyone,im looking to buy a expedition and iv ben reading all the reviews i can find on them..i got some questions..i read the brake pads ware real quick with easy driving, and brake dust is real bad,if i put custom rimes on it how hard would it be to keep them clean?iv read the driver door rattles alot but im not worried about that..iv also read that the e-brake ant worth a grap, there are more stuff but i dont recall everything..i love the way the expedition looks inside/out..just curiuse if you have these problems or any other problems..i know some people make things out to be worse then they realy are or cry about anything, so i thought it would be best to join a forum and get some revies from you guys:D THANK'S for any help/info you can give..

sure breakdust is bad. what would you expect when you're slowing down a 2+ ton rig?i'll take the dust and know that i'm gonna stop. if you want you can get ceramic pads and they will do a world of difference with the dust--and still stop good. e-brakes only have problems when people don't use them for a long time and the suddenly use them. when you switch owners would be a good chance of this happening. i use mine EVERYDAY, ALLDAY and i've never had a problem on any vehicle.

brake dust isn't THAT bad... sure brake dust gets on the rims but not any more than the car I had before(mercedes.) Also, after I switched to ceramic pads they really cut down on the brake dust and improved braking performance. My windows and doors rattle but only when going 90 - 100. Also, after 50,000 miles my e-brake will still keep the truck is place when it's in drive.

brake dust aint bad just dont make the mistake i made of not cleaning it off i spent almpst 6 hours on all the wheels to get it all off of all the wheels. the big problem with the brakes are the rotor when you have to change them i just changed the front one on mine and it took 3 hours to get the rotors off the truck. i have never had any problems with door rattles on mine. like said before as long as the ebrake is used it will still work like it is spoused too. i love my expedition there aint anything i would change about it but find one with the tow hitch already on it or get one put on soon after you buy it

And if you get chrome rims, Turtle Wax Chrome Polish works really well to clean them.

I put ceramic pads on the front of mine too...... now the rear actually gets dirty before the fronts. With the stock pads it only took 3 trips to work and back before the front rims needed cleaning again.
