    When I got my 1997 from a previous owner it had a small amount of tape to prevent the passenger side rear door's child lock from sliding into the locked position. Seems to be a pretty common issue oddly enough.

    I clamped a multimeter to battery and disconnected fuses one by one, both in the engine compartment, and in driver's side. Not even a single drop in A after doing so.

    '97 XLT 5.4L Triton V8 132k Miles, and biggest problem so far was a brake line, definitely not an major issue in my opinion.

    I don't believe the t-stat has been changed, and with engine off the fan has a bit of resistance, but very little.
