true cold air vs cold air

Vato, exhaust wrap is probably the best way to go as far as insulating your intake. Another option I've seen is an intake wrap from like the one in this link. HTH. Also the e-fans don't put a heavy load because they don't draw that much current. That shouldn't be a problem. They do, however...

My 97 Expo's Front Bumper Bummer.

From what I've seen in prior posts/ threads, to achieve the look you're after, you'd have to change the front bumper and valance, as well as the front grill shell. I'm not sure about anything else, but from what I've seen between the two, that's pretty much it.

true cold air vs cold air

To put in my .02 here, I used to have a 90 Integra. The only time I noticed a difference was when I heat wrapped my intake, and took air in from behind my bumper. I know I'm using a honda to compare, but this car was where I picked up most of my knowledge from. Either way, an engine, is an...

    Replacement Shocks

So far as I can tell, no, you don't need special shocks. For the rear, that is. Do you have the LLS in the rear, or all 4 corners?

mid captain seat and 2 inch drop on rear

They do have second row seating for our year Expy. I think it was just available in the Navs of the same year though. Good thing is, if you have the tan leather interior, the Navs interior is the same color. Good luck finding them though.

    bad cats

Or, as was said on FTE, if your exhaust smells like rotten eggs, and your truck bogs and runs like ass, that's usually a good indication.

    Best place to buy parts

Way to contribute to the crime. Anyway Kruzer, ^this guy is right about ebay, wrong on the thief tip. Usually, people part out their cars when the engine siezes, they wreck them, whatever, to make as much money as possible instead of selling it to a junk yard for a few hundred dollars. Ebay...

    What year is your expedition?

01 EB 5.4 Black. Mods: satin Speed grill, Pioneer replacement HU, Infinity 10" sub in custom box in factory location, tinted tail lights, custom Magnaflow exhaust, HID upgrade, 5"Hella fog lights behind grill, color matched the nasty ass tan moulding.

Nice ride man. How do those 22s ride? Obviously its stiffer than stock but how much stiffer?

    Powerstroke in an Expy

Well, I wasn't thinking about just the engine. I was thinking more along the lines of the engine, tranny, rear end, and shortened HD driveshaft, and custom 5 lug axle shafts to take the power the diesel puts out.

    Powerstroke in an Expy

I know this has probably been discussed before, but what are the chances of being able to shoehorn an 01 Powerstroke engine into an 01 Expy? Also, what kind of cost would one be looking at?

K&N FIPK Intake and Flowmaster exhaust

Going back to the stock diameter would definitely help. Like Green said, if it isn't tuned (which of course, is more money) 3" is not worth the trouble. If you want a little reduced back pressure, and the sound, just swap the muffler and use stock piping.

    Performance heads??

I've heard of people using Navigator heads on the old 2 valve 5.4 blocks. I'm not entirely sure what the swap entails, but it has been done. I've also read in Ford Performance Trucks magazine, of a few Lightning guys doing it, but they worked the hell out of the block and heads.

    20 x 10 inch wheels

Well that tire calculator I used said I'd be doing 64.something MPH when the speedo said 65. Not much of a difference as well as the RPMs would be a bit lower at that speed compared to stock. I haven't tried it out yet, so this is all just speculation.
