    This just started a couple of days ago, while on the freeway. My expedition would jerk slightly around 50 mph. Today I took it by Autozone to have it scanned to see if any codes would be picked up. To my surprise no codes were picked up, the Check Engine Light is not on, and I am not too sure...

    Battery light coming as I drive

    It turns out, that it was the alternator. I picked up and put in a new one yesterday, along with a new belt. Took only an hour and all is well now!

    The hiss was from the radio, the battery is 2 years old I believe. My gauges aren't acting up, but I don't know where to look for the grounds.

    I had the oil changed and power steering changed two weeks ago. As for off roading/moisture exposure to that area then no. I only have been driving from home and school. This just started happening this morning.

    I don't know how many grounds I have on the vehicle, or where to start looking. The only place I could think of is the possibly the wiring on the passenger headlight, but that would not explain why the battery light would come on during the day, since the headlights are off.

    So have it on at all times? Does it provide better gas mileage? Also where I live its flat, but I'm leaving for a trip this friday and the highway is going to get very hilly.
