Battery light coming as I drive

This just started today. My battery light has been blinking when I drive, but my voltage meter reads normally. What could be causing this?

Alternator or possibly weak battery connection. I'd clean your terminals real good with a wire brush and make sure they are tight.

AutoZone can test your alternator so that you can eliminate that out of the equation.

alternator is going...mine came on the day before yesterday and the truck died soon after. the -15 weather did not help.

It turns out, that it was the alternator. I picked up and put in a new one yesterday, along with a new belt. Took only an hour and all is well now!
