2005 ford expedition air cond. problems
These expedition have a acuator that changes as you change the location of the vents, on the acuator door the hinges have a tendency to break. If this happens, the air will come out of the one postion. I would start there. Also check the hoses going to the controller. A filter will not cause...- mystik

Timing chain
If the timing chain is making noise, then you change it, it intales replacing the chain guide rails, tensioners & 2 chains. Also you must check the sprockets to make sure none of the teeth are broken. You must check for any metal dropping in the oil pan. Ive done these, its really not an easy...- mystik

suspected intermittent fuel pressure drop
If this is happening intermittently, then you turn off the key, wait a few minutes, then the truck starts. It sounds to me like the security system might have an issue. When you turn the key off, it seems like your resetting the PATS system. I would look into either the key chip or the PATS...- mystik

Im thinking when your engine is hot, your ECM might be shorting out or you have a shorted wire somewhere. Obviously...- mystik
