    Coolant in the well can easily cause the spark to ground in the well rather then in he CC. Dielectric grease on the tip on the plug and a little around the boot will help insulate. If the boots are warped or rubber soft replace them while your at it. It also couldn't hurt to ohm the spring...

    Maybe so. You can tinker with the expo at your own pace and have some coin back in your pocket with a fuel sipper. I bought a used focus wagon last year for this very same reason.
