I can't speak to them now, but I worked for them when they were still building their equipment in Westford, MA. Great company. In addition to the radar detectors we were building, we were also building the "radar detector, detector, detector..." It would shut down your radar detector when it was getting pinged by the police in states like CT and VA where they were illegal.

I don't mean to be a hater, but you really get what you pay for when it comes to radar detectors/laser jammers. For $179 and it comes with an an integrated camera, I'm gonna have to say it's PROBABLY a piece of junk. Back in the late 80's and early 90's Whistler made a decent product, but I would stick with something more well known, like a Escort product. Just my opinion.

I’ve never owned a whistler so I can’t comment on their quality but I would suspect that this unit probably does both radar and camera ok but excels at neither.

I have a Max360. I used to have a V1, but their design is too dated. The Max360 has the arrows and works much better than my old V1. Most upgrades are software that you can download yourself as opposed to the V1 which has a hefty upgrade fee. It includes GPS, red light camera and other features not available on the V1. Much more modern display too.

I waited for years for V1 to upgrade their user interface and incorporate new features. I gave up when the Max360 came out and the new collision avoidance systems where triggering my old V1 (I understand I could have upgraded my V1 for that issue).

Yes but Escort is an ******* company and they have way too many problems with their units.

Anyone here with a 360 had to send it or any other units in for calibration required or gps error??

Plus they are WAY overpriced as is V1.
These jerks price whatever the market will bear.
Look at technology advances an how prices have dropped on most electronic devices except latest and greatest....I don't call radar and laser(maybe detectors) detectors high tech.

Had a V1 for years. Its paid for itself MANY times over. It's a bit annoying anymore as I have a fairly old unit and doesnt have the update to help with the k band annoyances from acc and bsm on newer cars. It goes off quite a bit in traffic so I typically keep it quiet in those instances. It's been annoying me more lately now that I drive considerably further for work as of last month.

I'm considering the update but also looking at the 360C. I'd really like something that is Maestro compatible for when we get into a newer expy and can run it through the radio display. The Escort CI and a ZW5 Laser Shifter would be amazing.
