My company offers ford X-plan. I’m planning to get the 2020 model in a couple months. Did anyone purchase your new expy with x-plan? Did you get a better deal? Thanks.

We bought our Navigator on xplan but we ordered ours when the order banks opened in 2017 for the 2018’s. We expected them to not be wheeling and dealing and we were correct. If we were buying now we’d try to deal first.

We ordered our Expedition as soon as the 2019 order banks opened. This was our family's eleventh new vehicle from that dealership and our salesman wrote up this deal at invoice price less half of holdback less current incentives which were then only $750. One of our sons had ordered his 2018 Super Duty from the same salesman a year earlier and got a similar deal. But then last September, another son wanted to order a 2020 Super Duty and the best they would offer him was X-plan. He said "thanks, but no thanks" and went out and beat the X-Plan pricing elsewhere. Loyalty isn't the two-way street it used to be any more and a deal is where you find it. What I'm saying is that you can walk in off the street now and negotiate a price below X-Plan if you know your "stuff' and make them work to sell the vehicle to you. X-Plan is helpful in that it does cap dealer fees, so it will prevent you being overcharged for doc fees.

I’ve worked with over a dozen dealers and the best I could get on a Navi BL was 6-7% off a special order. Beats xplan though.

my dealer beat the x plan pricing even before i mentioned it to him

This ^^^

If you are looking at a new model or special ordering one, use the X-plan. Otherwise, you will be able to negotiate a better deal on your own. I picked up my 2019 as the 2020s were coming on to the lots. They beat my X-plan discount by over $10K. Also, you can't stack discounts when using your X-plan like a normal negotiation.
