Morning all!

Just purchases a 1 owner 2008 Ford Expedition EL XLT for 9.5k with 114k on the clock. Feel very good about the purchase but it has some interior issues.

The center console armrest that opens up is missing the acrews so it comes off if you try to open it. Any idea what screws are needed and how to reinstall?

The sunglasses holder is broken, looks like some tabs have sheered off, anyone know where to source a replacement?

Super excited!

Oops hit post before adding comments. So I found some interior screws that match and this what it looks like. None of the screws catch in the guided holes. Got a feeling this console lid is not original to the truck, previous owner had a big dog which probably tore it up.

Trying to come up with a diy fix for this to keep the hinge down, I'm thinking of creating a thin wooden plate of some sort and attaching it to the interior then attaching the hinge to that. Any other ideas?

Well, I just went and checked my 08, and the hinge and top look exactly the same, the screw holes should line up with the plastic holes on the vertical face. If the holes are too large for your screws to actually grip and thread in, I would suggest drilling the holes through into the center console and then passing bolts from inside the center console, through the holes, attach the hinge and then fit a nut and lock washer. That way you would see the bolt heads inside the center console but it would not look a mess. Here is how my hinge is attached IMG_3070 (Medium).JPGIMG_3069 (Medium).JPG
