Dumb newbie question: How do I install our front license plate? Drove home from the dealer 90 miles away yesterday and today found a plastic bracket with rivets/bolts in the SUV along with the two plates; all went fine attaching one plate to the back, but no mounting bracket on the front. It's a brand new 2023 Timberline so I don't want to screw up the front grill drilling holes. Wish the dealer had done this :( We live in a state where the front plate is required. Many thanks!

There are a couple threads on this subject. I just put "front plate" in the search box top right of this page.
Here's one,

2023 Timberline so I don't want to screw up the front grill drilling holes.
Got a thread on that too.

Thanks to all for sharing! It's been a while since we've bought a new car and I've never run into this before.

Here are the front and back of the plastic license kit that was in the SUV's interior:

Here are a close-up of the contents (that look like they require a bolt-snipper and holes drilled to function) and the part #:

And finally, a view of the front of the 2023 Timberline Expedition:

Much appreciated!

Leave it off if your state allows. Otherwise, aside from drilling holes, you could purchase the Smarfworks plate mount - it’s basically a really nice looking heavy duty metal arm that attaches to the passenger tow hook and holds the plate about bumper level. Had it on my Raptor and it looked awesome. My Timberline already had holes drilled and the front plate mounted :(

@CharPatton, not sure if you've got your front plate bracket installed yet or not, but like others here, mine was installed at the dealership before I picked it up, but I took some pics so you can see the placement and where the 3 rivets install. Hope it helps and congrats on the new Timberline!
