That sounds like the base tow package. Does it have the backup knob thing in the dash? That’s a clue that it has the HD tow package, which is the one you want. That one gets you the 3.73 gear that is waaaaayyyyyy better even when not towing and all the goodies that get it to the 9k rating. I think the base towing is like 6k.
