Security light plashes on the -, but won't start.Will turn over but won't start battery with dead two days ago replace the battery but now.It won't start.. starter starter stays on When you let off the key but it will turn off with the key

A rapidly flashing security light on a 2007 Ford Expedition indicates the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) does not recognize the key, preventing the engine from starting. This is often triggered by a faulty key chip, weak key fob battery, or a disconnected transceiver. Disconnect the main battery for 15 minutes to reset the system, then try a different key or the same key with a new battery in the FOB
