Today, I had issues with driver side headlight thinking it needed a new bulb. The connector was broken and I got a new pigtail with certain connector and still not able to get headlamp on. Suspect that it is possible that there is a short somewhere in the headlamp wiring harness assembly. Is there a way that can be done in getting it resolved. Any tips would be much appreciated.

This is the wiring diagram for the 2013 Headlamps. Try testing for excess resistance on the circuit, or see if you have an open somewhere.
Does the High Beam not work as well?

The High Beam does not work either. I did a deep dive on the wiring and would suspect an open somewhere in the wiring - Looking at a certain wiring harness. (C1284 Headlamp assembly, Left, and the harness 12A581) However, the left side marker and turn signal do function just fine.

If neither high or dip are working, I would suspect a problem with the ground wire. I would be checking that it makes good contact with the negative battery terminal. Measure the resistance from the black wire at the bulb connector to the battery negative terminal, if more than a couple of ohms, you need to find the break or bad contact.

The drawing shows two splices in the ground wire on your light circuit. Splice 129 and then splice 131 then ground at G 103.
Here are a couple drawings, the first is what is grounded at each splice. The Navigator portion is on the left side and the Expedition is in the lower right side. The second drawing is approximately where under the hood the two splices are and the ground location. I would look for corrosion at the first splice 129. My Navigator actually had a wire fail inside the splice for a window circuit.
