I am going to rent an Expedition Max for a week to see what it's like to live with compared to our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Limited. Now if I could just get the rental company to quit renting it out from under me! It's hard to rent a SPECIFIC car around here at times - no I don't want a Suburban! :)
The new 22" wheels are an improvement. I want the amenities and interior of the Platinum but I want the exterior of a white w/Stealth package. I don't love the all black interior on the Stealth and I want the noise cancellation, massage seats and adjustable suspension of the Platinum ... hmmmm
Did you consider making the door handles black as well? I'm considering this on a white Navigator where I would black out ALL chrome. I think the body colored door handles might look better though ... and maybe the lower chrome strip as well in body color?
Thanks for your input! It helps. My main beef with the minivan we have now is the hunting for a gear regarding the transmission. The Exp/Nav felt much smoother and (obviously) more powerful.
Yes, this is a good point, but also the bigger and heavier a car the more overall force exerted in an accident which is probably good for the person driving the car but maybe not for the other person or overall damage or potential harm in general. Point taken though.
That's a great point and I do plan to rent one for a week at some point.
I am the primary driver of this car ... currently the minivan. (And I agree with you on getting her what she wants if it's her car) :-)
Well everyone ... just back from a road trip for a family wedding in our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Limited (all options) while considering all mentioned here. There were 5 of us ... 2 being toddlers. My wife rode in the 3rd row and I folded/stored the short side of the rear seat so we had a flat...
Thanks for your input ... I am quite torn. I think I'd enjoy driving the Expedition more and we do have snow to be dealt with here, but I have a 3rd car that has 4wd (2019 Jeep Wrangler 4 door). However we will make some trips to some very rural areas with quite a lot of poorly maintained gravel...
Thanks for the input ... those are all my sentiments as well. One difference is having a bench in the 2nd row in the Expedition/Navigator while still being able to get a panoramic roof. As far as kids needing help in and out of the car ... this could be good and bad I suppose.
The Toyota Sienna...
Sorry, I could've been more specific ... you covered it. I was just curious to hear more from you since you had rented one while owning the Navigator. I think we will order fairly soon. We own a ranch as well, so will be driving the vehicle on some substandard roads here and there too ... that...
Hello all!
Have been considering an Expedition Max or Navigator L and currently have a Chrysler Pacifica. I even ordered a Navigator last Spring and turned it down at the last second ... I'm not sure why the hesitation, but it mostly has to do with losing the convenience of those sliding doors...
Can you please elaborate more? We are considering the switch from a Chrysler Pacifica to an Expedition Max/Navigator L ... the only thing holding me back is losing the sliding doors. We have a 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 yr old but will be traveling with my in laws more starting next Spring/Summer. I even...
