Loud humming noise from the front of the truck

My first thought is the IAC, but an aftermarket intake has been know to make a similar noise. K&N intakes used to make a whistling/humming sound on Lightnings, so I wouldn't rule that out completely. Since it won't cost you anything to put the stock intake on, I would try that first (assuming...

New Owner - as of today

Welcome. I just bought that spacer lift from a member here, and haven't had the time to install it. It appears to be made well, I just hope it fits just as good. Hopefully I'll get it on soon and I can upload some pics of it.

    Brake Pads

I am very happy with the set I got off ebay from the seller brakemotive. Powerstop pads and drilled/slotted rotors for all 4 corners for $205 shipped.

DVD Player Audio out to speakers

Is it a factory or an aftermarket DVD? Do you have the factory head unit? If both are factory, you should be able to switch it from the rear of the center console, or by the HU itself. If either are aftermarket, you need to determine the pinouts of the DVD unit and splice in the proper...

What is this??? 02 EB expy Please help!

I believe the problem with the cruise control was that the wires remained hot at all times, even when the ignition was off. A leaky master cylinder or a sloppy brake fluid top-off would then leak the fluid on the hot wires, and :flamingdevil:

What is this??? 02 EB expy Please help!

I believe pic 1 is the harness used for the recall on the cruise control wiring. It should have an inline fuse if I am correct.

Why did you choose an Expedition over Yukon/Tahoe/Suburban?

Two main reasons I picked the Expedition over the Tahoe. Completely flat load floor from tailgate to first row seats, and the value for the money. I personally liked the looks of the Tahoe better, but I despised the thought of having to remove the third row seat to haul anything, and the fact...

    CV Axle Seal leaking

FYI, I had a passenger's side front axle seal start leaking about 2 years ago, and it was replaced at the dealer for $178. They had originally quoted $225.

    Quick help needed,

As long as the plug threads back in, and the coil is good, you should be ok to reinstall and drive it. Just be sure the threads in the head are still good, or you will need a time-sert to repair it.

    Brakes

Lubricate the guides pins/slides, as well as the pistons to make sure you don't get a seized caliper. I recommend brakemotive on ebay as a seller. $205 shipped to your door for cross drilled/slotted rotors, with ceramic pads.

    Supercharger choice

Madenterprise.com has everything you need to do a NA to a S/C conversion. Here is his list on his website. I take that back, it looks as if some things are no longer available (NLA). Bracket with idlers and special bolts NLA Tensioner Assembly...

    '03 Eddie Bauer brakes shudder?

Sounds as if your rotors are warped. If you recently replaced them, then I would look at the calipers.....they might be sticking. I just changed my rotors and pads, and I made sure to lube up the caliper guides/slides and the pistons. Is the pulsing in the steering wheel or pedal? Pedal...

    Supercharger choice

Kenne Bell is another one that owners of Ford modular engines like to use. Well Freeway, you beat me to it.....sort of! lol.

What did you do to the expy today

Replaced rotors and pads with the Brake Motive set from ebay 2 days ago that people here recommend. Comes with Power Stop pads and drilled/slotted rotors. Pedal feel still sucks, but stopping is better. Now I just need to bleed the brake lines. Got the AC recharged yesterday to prepare for...

    Air Conditioner Problem Fixed FINALLY

That sux, but I just had my AC recharged with 10 oz of freon today, and when the mechanic was inspecting it after the charge, realized that the fan clutch was going out too. Ford wants $375 to replace it, but I found the clutch online for $100 and am considering doing it myself.

    Rear liftgate lock actuator

I don't know the part number of the actuator, but the inner panel has the 2 top screws near the glass/lock, and the one holding the pull handle. After that, you carefully pry the panel off as there are clips holding it in place. I ended up breaking a couple, but you can get new ones from Ford...

no sparks on coil on plug, help ...

How quickly is the theft light blinking? If it's once every 3 seconds, it's OK, but if it's once a second, you probably have a PATS problem. I know you had it checked out, but just want to verify it for you.

    Increasing Maxium Tongue Weight

What type of trailer? If you do not have surge brakes, I would look into a Weight Distribution Hitch. Helper bags would be nice, but that isn't necessarily the limiting factor on tongue weight. I would say the suspension components AND frame would come into play at anything over suggested...

    Blown Expedition Needs Help

Talk with Tom and he will be able to help. If it were me, I would start with the vacuum lines, and install the stock L tune as a baseline to make sure it's not the motor. Custom tunes can be tricky, and I have seen many L custom tunes fail, even from the big tuner names in the L community...

Do you have an aftermarket CAI? Sometimes you can get a whistle from them, especially the K&N ones. Other than that, you got me.

2010 Expedition XLT EL - Truck does not accelerate enough

First thoughts would be fuel filter and air filter. A shot in the dark would be to check the power pedals and make sure they are not all the way down. The gas pedal gets restricted on full travel if they are all the way don preventing a full power acceleration.

    exterior issues

That tailgate is pretty bad. The corrosion on mine was concentrated just above the license plate trim. I sanded mine down, prepped it, primed and painted. Doesn't match, but better than the corrosion. I'm just waiting to see if it starts again. If it does, I will get it professionally done...
