Airbag light on 2008 Expedition XLT

OK so It sounds like I need to bite the bullet and run through the pinpoint test to narrow this down at this point. I found a guide to build a 2ohm airbag test adapter to rule out the airbag itself. I don't "think" it's the clockspring as the horn and cruise control work but at this point I'm...

Airbag light on 2008 Expedition XLT

Can you elaborate on the "bad squib" thing? what is that? Something inside the airbag or is that in the clockspring? I called up my local ford stealer-ship and they said 139 for the diagnostic.

Airbag light on 2008 Expedition XLT

Does anybody know what the OHMS reading for the DriverSide Airbag is? I noticed something in my mobile forscan app.. Pass Airbag reads 2 ohms Driver Airbag reads 26 ohms that seems WAY off...this kinda supports my theory that the airbag is bad?

Airbag light on 2008 Expedition XLT

It may have been actually. I repaired the wires and the lights remain on. I wasn't about to leave it like that regardless. Not sure if there was any sort of sensor wires also tied into the airbag. I'm beginning to think the airbag itself may be bad. Still waiting on my USB reader to hook up into...

Airbag light on 2008 Expedition XLT

Well I may have found my problem I pulled the airbag and found this pinched wire behind it and I can see bare copper so I guess I'm going to be stripping back to the casing and seeing if I can splice it

Airbag light on 2008 Expedition XLT

I just ordered up a USB OBD2 reader that I can hook up to the full PC version of FORSCAN and hopefully that'll give me something more. I'll probably de-power the whole shebang again tonight and check the connections in the RCM and airbags and clockspring Such a PITA this is...otherwise the...

Airbag light on 2008 Expedition XLT

I have the code its B2293 but does't have a flash code that accompanies it. Everything I've been reading says it should have a flashing code along with it. The light however comes on solid the moment i turn the key on and doesn't flash at all.

Airbag light on 2008 Expedition XLT

Yes I believe there are 3...but the code I pulled was "air bag status" either driver or passenger circuit failure...I checked the impact sensor just for good measure

Airbag light on 2008 Expedition XLT

I recently bought this truck from an auction and have been driving it around w/out issue for several days now. Last night the Airbag light came on solid and when I plug my bluetooth OBDII reader with TORQUE into the truck it's stating it has a B2293 Body code which based on some googling looks...

    2005 Expedition Valve body removal

This is very good advice! Thank you for the pro-tips! Is it truly as simple as I think it is? Unbolt pan, drain, remove filter, and then find the bolts for the valve body and drop it down? No springs or anything to go shooting off? If its just a matter of keeping it level as it comes off the...

    2005 Expedition Valve body removal

Anybody have any tips or tricks or maybe know of a video or picture walkthrough on the process of removing the valve body from the transmission? I have come to the conclusion I have the #7 check ball issue that there is a TSB for. Symptoms...from stop at a light acceleration at a normal pace the...

    2005 Expedition AC issues

No lift on the truck. All the shrouding seems to be in place and factory original. I'm still not pleased with the airflow through the main radiator. i feel i should be getting more. May try to get the hose in there and spray it out more. My wife did comment that she felt that things cooled down...

    2005 Expedition AC issues

I'm just trying to get some answers...and so far I've been having to defend myself instead of having technical conversations about the issues i wrote in detail about. I joined this forum because it seemed there were a lot of smart people on here based on the posts I was reading before I signed...

    2005 Expedition AC issues

Is it so wrong to want some answers to questions that have been bugging me? I took a decent amount of time to write a well thought out and detailed post on the issues/questions I have. I'm not just your average Joe going HURRR MEH AC DUN WORK HELPZ MEH... Even if it IS an easy fix I am the type...

    2005 Expedition AC issues

Actually, there were 4 questions there, and obviously the reduced airflow is a large part of the problem... don't need to be snarky. Is this NORMAL? Is the stock cooling fan weak? Is there an improved set of blades to help with air draw? Any recommendations or suggestions on aftermarket...

    2005 Expedition AC issues

Hi All, New to this Ford forum (member of others), and definitely not new to Fords! Been keeping a family fleet of them running for years. Questions about a new to us 2005 Expedition EB with the rear AC. When starting up/idle the AC blows significantly warmer than when we're driving. It's...
