    I think black4x4 iis right on the money. Replace the O2 sensors and clear the code. Drive it for 50 - 100 miles and see how it reacts. Z168, I think something was "lost in translation" when the OP wrote it pulls.

    Is the check engine light on? If so read the codes and post them here. If not then clean the mass air flow sensor with mass air flow sensor cleaner. Check all vacuum lines. Make sure the air filter is clean, if not rellace it.

    Over the long weekend I cleaned out the garage and moved the expy in for a trans rebuild. I drained the converter, then the pan. The fluid is burnt and its time to overhaul at 243k miles. I'd say thats prEtty good. I ordered the rebuild kit from here oregon performance. They were recommended...

    From what I know of the two transmissions they are not plug and play. You need the computer from the 99 and wiring harness to work with the 4r100.     I climbed under the expedition today and the trans is only wet across the bottom. The top is dry and I popped the drain cover under the torque converter. There was trans fluid inside the torque converter housing at the front of the trans.
