This connector is horizontal ABOVE and near the back of the radio.
Do you have an extra connector because of some work you did, or just an extra in there? The connector here is usually plugged in. Did you convert from air suspension to springs?
I'm pretty sure you can rent/borrow the fuel pressure test kit from the major auto parts stores.

I'm interested in this thread too. I have also started experiencing longer cranking time. At 155000 miles it seemed to just take a second or two crank. But...
Speaking of brake calipers. Check for loose or missing caliper bolts? I had both caliper bolts missing from the left rear. When I noticed mine were missing. I saw lots of messages about F-150's losing front caliper bolts.
Might try getting more air out of the system.
Here's the only decent thread I could find.

Sold my other car yesterday and got in the Navigator to go home and the check engine light came on.
Went to Oreilly's this morning and had the code read. P0402
Did some internet searching and found most people said it's the DPFE sensor and probably not the EGR valve.
I went back...

Those really are the best stock wheels.
The directional wheels look so dated.
The navigator wheels have stood the test of time.
I saw a set on Dallas craigslist when I was looking for tires a while back. But, they had crappy tires.
I would definitely read through this thread and check all the things mentioned.

Not mentioned in that thread, but a new fuel filter made a world of difference for me.
I'ts gotta be a block heater....
Won't be needing that in Phoenix.
Did you run a carfax or autocheck? Has it ever been used up north?
Here's a site you can plug in your vin and it will give you free autocheck:

This could be a fuel delivery problem too. I had P0171(with no drive-ability problems)and replacing the fuel filter cured mine. But it could also be the pump or injectors. You might check the fuel pressure. I'm guessing my filter wasn't clogged enough to cause any problem at low RPM, but when...
Based on what I see on my commute... Lots of people don't use turn signals anymore!
Maybe they changed the law and I didn't hear about it.
I wouldn't worry about it if I were you!
I have the LTX MS2 on another truck. Not the Navigator, they are great tires with long life.
I was once told there are 2 kinds of tire.
1. Michelin
2. Mistake
Yah...I put some blue thread locker on on them. I saw lots of horror stories about Exploders and rangers losing caliper bolts.
Look At this LINK
Most bad things I saw online were from FRONT calipers.... I yanked around on the caliper that was missing bolts. Because of the clips on the pad, I...
So...do you think it's loose in the transfer case only? Or maybe the front differential? Or maybe the drive shaft is out of balance?
I am pretty sure I have a similar leak on the Navigator transfer case.
I was looking at options. I'm not sure I want to pull it out and try to get it resealed...
I had a scare on the highway yesterday....in bumper to bumper traffic...
You know the drill....unexpected sudden stop...the pedal is at the floor but the ABS hasn't kicked in. Luckily I had a nice following distance.

Here's an update. I'm not sure it's fixed....but....
I changed the fuel filter Saturday. I had bought it for maintenance but never put it in. New Motorcraft filter.
The filter I took out was Motorcraft and I know the previous owner hadn't had it at the dealer in years. Nothing dramatic poured...
Wouldn't misfile show a code? I was really hoping for another code when I went and got it read....
I forgot to mention that I sprayed carb cleaner around the intake manifold gasket to see if I could get it to affect the idle....but no luck...
I have bought plugs and coil boots that I never...
Hi all,
When I got this Navigator it had TERRIBLE IDLE and the CEL was on. The rear suspension was also down. I have done the Monroe conversion and some other suspension work.
Since the IDLE was so bad I checked the elbow on the back of the Manifold and it fell apart in my hand. So, I...
I think you might be surprised to find there are not any grease fitting on the stock parts. Or not many. I can't think of any of the stock suspension parts that had grease fittings. Not the ball joints, tie rod ends, universal joints. None of mine came from the factory with grease fittings...
