How many miles on the truck??
I'd highly recommend cleaning your sensors and resetting the ecm at the same time. Just unplug the battery hit the high beams a few times and while it's out grab a can of contact cleaners from the local electronic store and clean the 3 primary sensors... Mine were...
Drove by the station this morning... $4.49 for regular, bend me over now or later??? Hahaha
But anyways even with the 87 tune the car runs much better and does bump out an extra mpg or two which makes it worth while!!! So even starting out with a basic tune is a bonus.
How do you achieve 93...
So as per getting nerdy!!! I wanted to see what I should really run my tires at in switching to LT tires I had a feeling it should still be some different... So when looking through the F-150 forums I hit gold!!! What you do is go over to the toyo website and they have the converter table right...
My tire guy has been running his own shop for about 30 years... He checked and said to run mine about 35-40psi and when I tow bump up the rear to 50psi.
Basically said that running them at 50 (what I original was thinking also) would cause the tire to bubble a little in the middle causing...
Did all 4 of them solo in the driveway, if you don't have a helping hand using a floor jack to help line things up with a large screwdriver = lifesaver
On a side-note the perches pre-installed on the KYB shocks DO NOT line up with the originals so line up the top piece relative to the bolt hole...
Check/Change spark plugs, clean throttle body, check pcv valve for clogs, and check your air filter!
Coming from a 5.7L V8 Hemi in Cali I know the pain of the pump but sometimes I've found simple stupid maintenance items can gain you an MPG or two time and time again...Even running some 91 for...
Looking good!
Just out of curiosity I'm still in the process of my high front being fixed.... What is the measurements to the bottom of your side step on the front and back? Is it about an 1" difference??
Can you give a little more information?? Does it increase with speed, turning, bumps?? When does it not do it??
On previous cars I had a similar noise after brake jobs by not putting lubricant on the little metal tabs between the Caliper and brake pads
Keep in mind saying something has more fins or is bigger doesn't always mean more efficiency... Coming from the air conditioning world we talk could and heat transfer like most people live and breath. Material used for the fins makes big differences, size of lines running through, and depth of...
Well, after dropping down to 15 mpg from 19 mpg and 3 days at Ford telling me that car was running as designed with no leaks I took matters into my own hands.
After some research on boost testing I found basic tests but nothing pertaining to our ecoboost as a step by step kind of guide... So...
After driving it about 60 miles it's evened out a bit. Sitting 15" in the front and 14.75 in the rear... Measurements come from the running boards since the wheel wells are different heights on these cars... Looking at going from 32" to 34" tires to take it up an extra inch 35" on R20 is outta...
I'll definitely look into them.
I have a feeling the 2015-2017 models are more leveled on the suspension compared to previous models. I finished the install of the 3/2 kit on to find my car not level and sagging in the rump by 1/2"... So I'm working ordering up a 2.5" lift kit for the rear to...
So basically it makes it on full air. Like a whistling noise. Being an a/c tech it sounds like what would be a clogged filter. However if you push the return air button it disappears. Could also be a busted fresh air damper I suppose too. I only have the electrical manual for the car.
What is the UAC that you are planning to do?
I get the rears done tonight for the lift although it says 2" lift I only gained about 1.5" but the rest may come when the front is done.
Starting to look at tire options. What did you end up choosing?
Good morning gents, I'm getting a whistling/clogged sound when running in non recirculation mode. In previous cars it was an easy fix. However I've noticed the 2015 doesn't have a cabin filter and cannot locate the outside air intake. Any help finding the path to remove the clog?
Looks good, mine is going under the knife Saturday! Are you going to notch it down on the strut and use a readylift 2" Or 1" to raise it back up by a different method??
