I had a coolant leak over the passenger side of the engine that cost me about $900 because the dealer said all 4 coil packs on that side of the engine had to be replaced due to the coolant pooling up on top of them.
I have 75,000 miles on my 07 EL and have had this problem since it was new. Been to the dealer and two different tire shops with three sets of rims and four sets of tires. The severity has varied over the years but never gone completely away. The steering wheel vibration is horrendous.
I hate to be THAT guy... But sorry, the dealer is not the "best first step". Ford dealers have become outrageously expensive and untrustworthy. I'm 39 years old and I'm currently on my 9th Ford product (3rd Expedition). I bought what I thought was an iron-clad 7-year/100,000 mile extended...
Looks great! Didn't know where you were going with the hole in the middle of the stock lens until the pic where you painted them. Really nice work. Personally, I'd prefer white light though.
If you end up needing a battery, I'd highly recommend Costco batteries. After quite a bit of shopping around, their batteries were right down with the least expensive, but have some of the best specs and a 100-month warranty. They also come with a no-questions asked 3-year return (or exchange?)...
I can't answer your TPMS question, but yes, the "Chrome-Clad" rims are just plastic. I loved the way they looked when new, but they don't stay that way for long. Replaced mine with aftermarket as soon as the original tires wore out.
I hope you'll have better luck with your 2011 seat than I've had with my 2007 front seats. I've had the tracks replaced on both of them at least once, and I think twice each, but I can't remember for sure, because several times I've complained about them to the dealer and they say there is...
Here's a google image search of "leaking strut"...
leaking strut - Google Search
Not sure if you can get a good angle to see your struts without removing the wheel. Try turning your steering wheel all the way in one direction and see if it opens enough of a gap to check. A leaking strut...
I just had KYB struts put on my 07 EL last week... the OEM shocks lasted me 70k miles. Well, the fronts lasted that long, the rears weren't leaking yet and probably would have gone longer.
I'll also be looking to replace my front struts, which are leaking, in the next month or so. Look forward to hearing what others recommend. I'll post back here when I've made my choice as well.
Okay, so both times I've replaced the battery in my 2007 Expedition EL Eddie Bauer, the heated and cooled seats have stopped functioning. When the buttons are pressed the two lights will come on and immediately turn back off.
I tried pulling the fuse as suggested in another thread and it had...
Just because of how easily damaged they are. They accordion at the slightest contact where a real chrome wheel might scuff but would not look nearly as damaged.
I've had bad wind noise on my 2007 EL from the beginning. There was a mod on here where someone had inserted surgical tubing into their door seals and it supposedly helped quite a bit. I never got around to trying it.
The main requirements for legal window tinting in California are:
The windshield and front driver's side and passenger's side windows cannot receive any aftermarket tinting.
If the rear window of a vehicle is tinted, the vehicle must have outside rearview mirrors on both sides.

This looks awesome! Either one would be a big improvement over the original key/remote. How much does it cost to get programmed? Are there forum sponsors that can program for us by mail?
