20 inch rims.

A buddy of mine just gave me his stock 20 inch rims off his 2008 expy limited. My 2012 has stock 18 inch. Is it me or are the 20 inch rims just a plastic covering ? They feel really crappy and have a few chips. Does ford sell a replacement plastic cover? ( for lack of better name for it ) and will the 2008 tmps sensors work on my 2012 or are they different frequency. Thanks in advance.

I can't answer your TPMS question, but yes, the "Chrome-Clad" rims are just plastic. I loved the way they looked when new, but they don't stay that way for long. Replaced mine with aftermarket as soon as the original tires wore out.

Fake chrome…as far as the tpms…put them on and see…if not you'll need to swap them from old to new wheels and shouldn't cost that much to break them down on put your truck sensors in them
