I have the TPMS light on, on the dash. All the tires are at 30PSI cold so I'm guessing a TPMS in one of the tires are bad. I'm going to be replacing the tires soon and I want to replace all the TPMS since I'll have the tires dismounted. I've heard the batteries last 5-7yrs, so I guess it's about time for them to start going.

I have a 2007 EB Expedition.

I've found the best price online and I want to have all the sensors before I make an appt to have the tires replaced.

So does anyone know if the spare has a sensor?

Now that I'm thinking about it, if the spare does have a sensor, may that tire is low. Looks like I have to drop the tire to check.

No TPMS in spare.

Also you will need to have the new sensors programmed to the vehicle and then even if you mount a TPMS in the spare it would need to be programmed to the vehicle when in use. I don't think he system can accept 5 sensors all at once.

One other thing, make sure you use the same style sensors as original ( band type ) as I dont think they are interchangeble with the valve stem kind.

Thanks for the info and quick reply!!! I'll go ahead and order four sensors.

I've researched the band sensors vs the stem sensors and it looks like you can change from the band style to stem style using aftermarket. Below is the cheapest I've found them after verifying they will work (I do not work for them). Please let me know if giving the link is allowed.

Also note that the Expeditions should be running 35 psi in the tires (per the info sticker). That may be why you are getting a light!

Personally, I run about 38 psi, but it does make it apparent that my front shocks are crap.

Are you running 38psi hot or cold?

Wonder if the 35psi info on the sticker refer to hot or cold?

I have mine set to 38 cold (well, had - I haven't check in the last month or so).

The sticker in the door jamb should becold pressure. I know mine recommends 35 psig cold.

I had bumped mine to try and get a little better highway fuel economy on a long trip. May have helped a litte, but not really sure.

Thanks for the info! I'll bump mine up to around 35-38psi cold this weekend and see if the light goes out. Eiither way, I'm probably still going to replace the sensors since I'm having the tires replaced.
