That’s it. Your parking aids r out!! That’s the top down view screen to help u park. The red x on the top of the Expy is a warning light which means the self parking system is inop.
I am checking to see if there are any other hillbilly rednecks on our forum. If you are a hillbilly you will know what happens when you “Pepsi” an engine or how to repair main crank bearings by using only a matchbook. Or, what to do with mothballs when ur trying to tune an engine for optimum...
Best way to check for a possible hot wire that is grounded is to take ur voltage tester put the black wire on the negative post of the battery and then the red wire on a known ground. Your tester will let u no if u have a hot ground or not by showing voltage or no voltage on you tester. Good...
Good deal.....the scope will allow you to hear bearing noises from any component that has bearings or listen to the valves as they open and close, etc. Just be as safe as possible, especially around the engine if it’s running, of course you no that but just made me fill better by saying it.
Anyone in the forum that may have owned a Chevy and gotten an ESP after the sale and after the bumper to bumper warranty? My ‘11 truck just passed 38k.....Thanks
Wow.....we r showing our age now....I was raised on the idea that any Pennsylvania grade oil (Pennsoil, QuakerState, Standard Oil, and a few others created sludge in any vehicle engine...I was also taught how to “Pepsi” an engine and how mothballs work well in providing u with a bunch of extra...
Hey I’m just a somewhat old timer on here and although it seems I’ve worked on every carbed engine ever made was just wondering, “where does the oil go that isn’t caught in a catch can?” I suppose into the oil cooler for the turbos?? Thanks, oh yea, this is the first turbo I’ve ever owned.......
I have 38k on my 11 Silverado. When I went to the dealer for an oil change they checked the in cabin filter and it was fine. Also, you would think if a cabin filter is 1/2 or 3/4 plugged the air coming through the vents would slow down a bunch, so, that’s when I would get a new filter, when...
The 18s have a newly designed fuel system that works to keep the valves clean and it works along with the direct injection system. Anyhow, no tests have been done to see if this new cleaning contraption does better or worse.
Could be the belt tensioner since the noise went away with the belt off......prob time to replace the tensioner. That’s what I’d do.....or get you a stenthascope, I can’t spell, and listen to the alternator, water pump, a/c compressor to see if you hear possible bad bearings on one of those.
Could check to make sure there is a good clean ground for the relay buttons.....I’m just throwing stuff out there right now until an electrical guru chimes in......could all the switches gone bad all at once....or I mean 1/2 a switch at once...probably not. Seems to me it’s a ground or a bit of...
I would bet it’s corrosion on the contacts since those two buttons are sitting ducks for the weather, especially the outside button below the plate, however, there’s always a however in there somewhere.....are the relay/swich wires wired in serial or parallel? I would gain access to the relays...
If the keyfob has the auto start button then u should have autostart. The install for autostart is not to bad.......if you’re 35 instead of 66.....good luck....
Set the desired temp then hit auto button on dash or on sync screen. This is supposed to start auto mode, however, on my Silverado in auto mode the a/c light on the a/c button comes on to show the a/c is on. In the Expy when you hit the auto button the light on the a/c button does not come...
We bought the 18 Ltd Expy 301A in Oct 18 and with it being built on 21 Aug 18 most of the probs with the Freon, mirrors, etc were corrected, knock on wood....I don’t do much towing but on occasion I will use my trailer to haul stuff to help people out if needed. Most always I use the Silverado...
