Anything more than the ready lift 3/2 will require other components to be modified and mounting brackets to be relocated. It can be done but will require some deep pockets.
That being a long but light weight would scare me in Nebraska during a wind storm. I used to pull refrigerated trailers along 80. A sudden gust of wind can lead to an unexpected lane change on one of those.
That gear puts a date on you. I was in the game for several years back when you could make money selling and installing it. Worked a t a few shops and was a regional sells rep.
What's the compression ratio on an EB and how much boost do the have. I'm impressed that you can have a turbo without running premium fuel. I guess the anti knock and fuel injection timing has gotten a lot better.
I think the difference is 17" and the reason I didn't get one as it wouldn't fit inside my garage. I'm not saying you should run 70 just that if it's not smooth at 70 then it shouldn't be on the Rd. I rarely drive over 70 without a trailer because of fuel issues. For the most part people with...
Looking at all these rigs from a professional standpoint and I wouldn't want to pull anything over 20ft with a swb exp, maybe 24 with an EL. I travel a lot driving tractor trailers and I'm assuming that the camp grounds are a similar rodeo as the truck stops are in the evening with rookie...
I added some hub centric rings to the aftermarket wheels and that helped some. It has new shocks/springs along with a lift. What's working against the ride quality is a wider and lower profile A/T tire and 3" lift on stock components. I've accepted it and the thing looks great with a wide stance.
So I didn't give much thought to slinging debris when getting this wheel/tire combo. Went to get lunch with the family today and we took the back roads home to check out some new construction sites. My boys (2 & 4) love the machines so we drove by all the dozers and excavators collecting lots...
If you're doing a 35, stick with the stock offset. I've got a 32.5 inch tire that'll rub on -24. Looks good but is the stock height, just wider and offset rims.
I'm still needing to change the plugs/coils as it's got the same weird skip my truck did. I also need to do a full fluid/filter change as well, that's gonna be $!
Head lights! These things are average at best on low beam and even worse on high beam. Short of some $1k set up what's a cost...
I'll get some shots tomorrow if I can remember. Mine are 20x10 -24mm and they come out about 3". I'm running a 305/50r20 Cooper zeon. They ride well with the spacers which are essential if your hub bore is not the same as the truck. Looking back I agree with doing it in steps but I would have...
