Having just ordered a new 2023 Expy SPP this thread got me reading up on catch cans. This will be my first forced induction engine.
On some online resources (F150 forum for example) they seem to think the addition of port injection on the newer EcoBoost motors makes a catch can less important...
I've read that the engine in the Stealth Performance model expy (440 hp) is the same as the F150 Raptor engine. Would the Raptor engine cover fit the Expy?
Has anyone done this.
I think it might look bad ass
And it's honest because it's the same engine!
I've been on the forum a long while for my 2010 Expedition Limited.
Today I took the plunge and ordered a 2023 Stealth Perf Model. I found a dealer that would stick to MSRP (no higher).
I had the email from Ford by the time I got home. Order is in.
Now I need to find out what this forscan...
I went to one dealer and they were talking 12K-15K over full MSRP. (No thanks, I'll wait)
Should I talk to more dealers? I am willing to pay MSRP, but not gouging above MSRP. Am I out of luck? Or did I go to a particularly greedy dealership?
I'm in Western Connecticut if that matters.
It goes above the axle (mostly) on the in board side of the brakes. If it protects anything it's the motor.
Or maybe it's to prevent and oil leak from hitting the rotor?
Not sure. But this rusted out truck isn't getting ANY unnecessary work done to it. If it weren't for the parts shortage it...
So my 2010 expedition started making a terrible grinding noise when rolling. I was able to track it to the front driver's side splash shield. It had rusted off and was trapped between the brakes and the wheel. I pulled it out but it is too far gone to put back in.
How important is the splash...
I am about to order a new expy.
(Stealth Performance Loaded).
Are there ANY discounts to be had? Or with the parts shortages should I just expect to pay full list?
Also, any forum friendly dealers in Connecticut? (I'm near Danbury)
Thanks for that info.
Is anyone getting trucks missing parts/features? Or do you just wait until they can build it proper?
Mostly what I want to avoid is "Bring it back later and we will add the missing parts". I feel like that could lead to quality issues compared to factory complete.
So I currently own a 2010 Expy limited. I love it and it runs and drives fine BUT the quarters are rusted all to hell. Like holes big enough to put your fist through on both sides.
I was planning to buy a new one, when the parts supply issues started up. Specifically I really want to get a...
I have been looking at a new Expedition (Limited Stealth performance).
One option on the online configurator is to disable the auto start stop. Is this a permanent setting? Or can this be turned on and off by the owner.
I think I would want it off most of the time. But I could see wanting it...
I've got a 2010 Expedition Limited.
Yesterday I was helping a friend move. I was hauling a 5x9 UHaul trailer with not too much weight in it. (Riding mower, a few bikes, shop vac).
It was snowing so I also had the automatic 4WD engaged. During the (thankfully short) trip the Wrench icon (dash...
I found some info.

I hope they don't go to the "floating in front of the dash" large screen. I hate touch screen in cars that look like an afterthought. I like the integrated look of the current one. If they go...
