I think this may be something I do later once the Premium Care ESP expires. It's at the dealership now having the transmission rebuilt. Whilst you know, and I know, and we all know, that the 180f stat means a cooler running transmission which means better longevity, the last thing I want to do...
In the Linus video it nearly drove them off the road multiple times, didn't turn on fast corners, turned into turning lanes, didn't turn enough on a roundabout nearly t-boning a car waiting. The fact there are other people driving around with this whilst I'm on the road is terrifying.
When...
I very occasionally get the eSLD gear wrench (like, twice a year) but it resolves itself with an engine restart. Not enough to worry me.
However, it's in getting the transmission rebuilt as we speak for the harsh shifting 3-5 and 7-8, plus lurching out of P into R. Service Manager said it's...
That's my suspicion as well, but I recall someone somewhere here said their service tech sourced just the chrome bezel parts. So whilst I'm dubious, I'm still holding out hope!
Our 2020 Plat has CCD, and even then on the summer 22s the ride is quite harsh. Not enough to do anything about it, but still.
When fall arrives and I switch to the winter 20s it's instantly noticeable how much smoother the ride is. The winters are also on dedicated winter rubber too (not...
Our Audi allows this. It has the canned modes - Dynamic, Comfort, Normal, Eco etc - but then there's an Individual mode, where you can choose how you want each setting - suspension, engine, steering, etc. Always thought that was cool.
Mine goes in later in July. They said about 3 days (including water pump replacement).
I started a thread here asking about peoples experiences post-rebuild (recent ones - with the redesigned parts). Seems like a mixed bag, but most of the negative outcomes were from 2024 or 2023 rebuilds...
I did. The full sequence was:
- I wiped it.
- Programmed 1 - weak.
- Programmed 2 - didn't check distance - but it removes that garage opener from 1 automatically.
- Wiped it all
- Programmed 1 - weak
- Wiped it all
- Programmed 3 - strong
Not sure what to tell ya bud. That's what...
Ok. Here’s what I did and found out.
Wiped the homelink
Reprogrammed opener to button 1
Signal still weak. Had to be within feet of the garage door to open it
Wiped the homelink again
Programmed the opener to button 3
Much success. Opens from a distance
I’m not sure why changing it to button 3...
The skipping a gear is normal. It's more economical to do that. The hesitation, and lurching, is not. Sounds like CDF drum to me. No lurching out of P to R?
Me? It does, but the other vehicle can open the garage from 150ft away, so I'm inclined to think it's not the opener but the vehicle. I still need to try the reset and relearn procedure to see if that fixes it.
That was my thought too when I looked at it - it's sitting proud of the surface like something stuck to the roof panel, rather than a patched hole.
I would not try heating, yanking, or prying on it. I would visit a local bodyshop and see what they think. Even if it's just some professional...
I think the moon roof was a standard option across the range except for the base model. In which you’re not getting all the bells and whistles you said you wanted.
The higher trim seats are 12 way. One of those is seat height up down. Doesn’t lowering that to its lowest solve your height problem?
Our 2020 is independently operated. But during the microchip shortage of the pandemic, Ford cut back on some items to reduce delays. One of these was combining the control logic for the running boards together. So post-pandemic models the boards deploy together.
Has anyone had a positive post-rebuild experience with their 10R80 transmission? I keep seeing posts from people here saying it ended up being the same or worse...
If so, when was the rebuild done? And was it definitely with the redesigned parts?
Mine is being done under warranty but just...
This... I can't understand why anyone would do this, unless you're an ultra-hypermiler MPG nut. And even then, the difference would so marginal you'd struggle to buy a cup of coffee with the savings in the course of a year.
Your 10 speed transmission is programmed to work a certain way. You...
My dealership has always done well by me, I guess because it's where I bought it new. The thinking being if they keep me sweet I'll drop $100k on a new one soon from them.
One thing you could try is resetting the adaptive learning tables for the transmission. This seems to solve a lot of...
