    Piece of junk

Um.... Yeah.... Achieving high quality and fit and finish is not a bad thing, and Ford could stand to learn a few things from Toyota in this area. Defending poor quality isn't very logical, but to each his own I suppose!

Gorilla Glass for F-150, Fingers Crossed for Expy Too

Makes you wonder what the point of the new design is then if it doesn't prevent chips and cracks better than a normal windshield. A super strong windshield will also make it more difficult to get out from the inside in an entrapment/accident situation, but maybe it will help keep a deer from...

What Have You Done to Your 4th Gen This Week?

My favorite is in the winter when the hill billy pickups with huge lift kits park on top of the snow mountains in the parking lots :) Probably no door dings for them!

    King Ranch

Looks like King Ranch and Platinum have the same wheels. Maybe they’ll paint the centers and pockets differently on King Ranch vs Platinum.

    Muhahahaha!

You should have gotten out and said that they scratched the paint on your hitch :)

    Anyone wrap their interior trim?

Maybe try wide vinyl pin striping if you can find the correct width. You could heat up and stretch the radius bends as needed to avoid wrinkles.

    Top speed?

    Zombie apocalypse of course! :)

    Removing front air dam?

Or even start simple by offering the 3 Liter PowerStroke in the Expy.

    Top speed?

Speed feels very relative... When I was younger, I went 117 on a snowmobile on a deserted snow covered road and it felt REALLY fast. The higher you sit above the road, like in the Expy, the slower things feel in my opinion.

Gorilla Glass for F-150, Fingers Crossed for Expy Too

Yeah, but eventually OEM glass begins to look like someone sandblasted it after alot of highway miles even if it's not technically cracked or chipped bad enough for insurance replacement

    Piece of junk

Anytime I make a service appointment for a warranty issue, I arrange a loaner vehicle (typically F150 crew cab) before I drop off my Expy to avoid any waiting. Perhaps that strategy would simplify things for you a bit if your dealer is reasonable to work with.

    Top speed?

Just curious how fast people have gone in the 4th Gen's? I took a detour through Mexico on my way to work this morning and was able to easily achieve an indicated 120 mph on a nice straight stretch of highway. I have the 5 star tune, so I'm pretty sure they have removed any speed limiters with...

    High Water Issues?

Not familiar with Duck boats? They are WWII landing craft. A tour company used to operate a fleet here in Pittsburgh for land and river tours, but after the Branson, Missouri tragedy with 17 deaths when a Duck boat sank during a storm, they decided it wasn't worth the liability. They required...

    Removing front air dam?

The Expedition FX4 package adds the front two skid plate parts (steel), and the fuel tank skid plate (heavy plastic). The transmission felt deflector shield is the same on FX4 and other Expy models, hence the reason for investigating the Raptor transmission skid plate.

    Removing front air dam?

Be careful on the fuel tank skid plate since it has different part numbers for short and long wheelbase models. The part listed in the posts is for the short wheelbase Expy.

    Removing front air dam?

Raptor transmission skid plate bolts up to the Expy, but the other front Raptor skids don’t fit due to the special front bumper setup on the Raptor. Expy FX4 skids bolt up on non FX4 Expy models.

    Max fording depth/wading depth?

    Max fording depth/wading depth?

I took a quick look and the rear diff has a stubby 6" hose that goes straight vertical and stops an inch from the sheet metal underside of the cargo area. I would estimate the top of the hose is 3/4 of the way up the tires. It's higher than the top of the spare tire if that helps with a...

    Winter specific wheelset setup recommendation

Here are your ebay wheels on an F150 Platinum. You'll just need to cut an inch or so off of the rear axle shaft on your Expedition if you want to use them, which isn't a big deal. I decided to use Expedition specific wheels to avoid this issue, but many have trimmed the axle shafts in order to...

Anyone gone from Minivan to Expedition Max?

Not sure how you determined that the EL/Max has tons more room than a Sienna. A Sienna has 150 cubic ft of space behind the 1st row. The EL/Max has 121.5 cubic ft behind the first row. Sounds like fuzzy math to me :)

    Winter specific wheelset setup recommendation

Nice wheels! Since they are from a Platinum F150, you’ll have to trim the rear axle shafts on your Expy to fit the rear center caps.

    Winter specific wheelset setup recommendation

I’ll have to call BS on no “honest” 20” snow tires for the Expedition. Nokian makes two varieties of their Hakkapellitta line (studded and non studded) that fit the OEM 20” wheels. I opted for the non studded version. See attached post...

Anyone gone from Minivan to Expedition Max?

We currently have both an AWD Sienna and an Expedition short wheelbase, so I'll provide a few data points. The vehicles are obviously apples and oranges for their intended purpose. From a packaging/space utilization perspective, the Sienna wins hands down. The floor to ceiling dimension is...
