I too had the power running board fail on the driver side of my 2010 Expedition - the board would extend, but would not retract.

After a few years, an Update!
Using this procedure, I have successfully completed the conversion of roughly 620 CDs using this procedure. Some observations:
- The Sync Head Unit does support larger hard drives, but only if they are formatted using the FAT32 file...
Had the same exact problem on the same door. Diagnosis was a failure in the door lock mechanism itself. Cost was about $100 for the part, and R&R was less than 2 hours - easy to repair.
