Like I said, you provided zero helpful information, you self important, condescending dick. I already admitted my mistake and was asking this community of enthusiasts about the technical details of why this vehicle was behaving this way in an attempt to learn more about my car.

Hey all,
We have a 2018 Limited on the original battery. Last time I had service done the place told me the battery was low and replace it before it got really cold. Makes sense. I bought a new one but had it in the garage for the weekend since I didn’t have a chance to change it...
Thanks for the replies; EVILTOW that pic looks great. I just ordered one that I picked as a Christmas present, so even though I'll have to wait for the install I'm psyched! I'll post some pics when it's on...
Hello all-
I was talking to a local cop I know who used to drive a 2nd gen Expy as a squad. He said they used Rhino push bars and loved them. He mentioned that he'd used it to push vehicles around; I don't think we're talking high speed PIT maneuvers, but anyway.
On their website it says...
It was all true!
Had my 2005 Eddie Bauer a year and a half now and still going great. Did have to shell out $600 for plugs (I tried them myself but could only get 1 to budge and spark plug wells were full of gravel) but that's the last time I'll ever have to do that.
Have a very occasional...
Hey all-
My Expedition was suffering from the notchy steering issue, where it felt like the steering wheel was going through detents of more or less resistance as I turned it.
Based on the advice of others, I hosed down the u-joints and everything else I could find on the steering shaft out...
Here's an update. I couldn't find the powdered stuff, but I bought a bottle of Weiman's glass cooktop cleaner paste and a 3 pack of non abrasive scrubbers. I spent 10 minutes doing half of my nastiest rim and the results were astounding. It cut through the crap pretty fast. I didn't have to...
Hey all,
I have a 2005 EB with severe brake dust baked into one rim. I wonder if some of it is rust now. Are these rims clear coated, or can I hit it with some 0000 steel wool?
Gone and done it!
Well, I used all your advice and everything I've accumulated over the years and picked out a 2005 Eddie Bauer. I'll post a picture in an appropriate forum when I get it in a few days. Really excited; everything seems to be in great shape and it doesn't even have any bubbling...
Thanks
Thanks for the info. I'm going to take it out, plug it in to the local shop's computers, and give it the once-over. Hoping for a good car; this one seems really nice!
Tranny?
Hey again. Going to look at a 2005 Eddie Bauer tomorrow with 93K miles. Has a brake controller, they claim it's only towed 500+ miles or so. With the tranny being the area of most concern for a model like this, is there anything I can check to look for its health? I know the basics...
Plugs
Yeah, that's definitely on my negotiating items list... Hoping for some nice local trades to roll in. I don't mind flying to buy one, but if the check engine light comes on two days after I get home it's a lot easier to take it to the local dealer and ask what's going on.
Thanks,
Ryan
Hey all-
I found a 2005 XLT with leather and other goodies in the trade-in bullpen at a local dealer. They're going to have to fix the bubbling paint on the tailgate (previous owner did a farm-job on it and it doesn't look good) and rebuild the tranny before putting it up for sale. It has...
Thanks!
Thanks for the info everyone! I've surprised a number of dealers and private sellers with the questions you've led me to ask. I've also had a number of people discover rust behind their running boards!
I have another question, but I'll post it in the thread so as not to go off topic...
Hello all-
We're going to be buying a 25' travel trailer with a max weight of 5000 lbs. I've been searching for a suitable tow vehicle and it really seems like the Expedition is a great deal for that purpose.
Some background: It will be a tow vehicle for camping, maybe some winter driving...
