2002 Expy stuck in 4High

Issue with SUV dying when warmed up... PLEASE HELP
Ok so about a week ago we were driving my wife's expy. It's a 2002 EB 5.4L V8 Triton with approx. 170xxx miles. For the first 15-20 minutes of driving, it was fine. Once vehicle warmed up, it would start to sputter and then die out, especially when trying to go from a stop sign or red light...- GilGraue

What is this??? 02 EB expy Please help!
