So I'm in the process of installing an amp and sub. Using factory head unit so yes I did get an in line converter from PAC. Here's what I need to find out: 1: where is the best location or whatsbthe best wires to connect inline converter to and 2: what should I wire my amp remote wire to? Thanks for any info given.

I do have experience in audio installations but I have always had an aftermarket head unit. I've never done an install using factory head unit. Most amp wires already ran and connected. I drained my battery already from where the remote amp wire was ran so I need to know where the best place is for that. Possibly manual on off switch but trying to avoid that route...

I know I'm late to see this but I just did this. I tapped my inline converter to the left and right front speaker wires on tge main harness for the radio. Also I tapped remote wire into power wire on same harness and ran it to amp. I hope tgis helps.

the remote wire to your amp needs to be connected to your headunit's "only hot when radio is on" wire. There should be a diagram online showing which wire to tap into.
