When you remote start on a hot day, the AC is trying to cool it down as much as possible as quickly as possible. That requires air movement across the fins of the AC condenser. That's why the fans come on in the High setting.

I understand what you're saying, but the problem is that there's just enough info missing (or that I just can seem to find) to prevent me from having a warm, fuzzy feeling about getting the job 100% done and not messing up anything with forscan. The tutorial posted above is great, except that I...
Recently picked up a clean one owner 2017 EL XLT after being without my 98 EB for a few years. Love it so far. It doesn't have the HD tow package, and I really want to add a factory trailer brake controller and enable it through forscan. I would also like to add a transmission cooler, since I'll...
Keep looking for other cracked plastic lines and deteriorated rubber connectors. Most likely the source of your lean condition. Make to check all the lines coming from the throttle body/manifold all the way around and over to the passenger side firewall

Air springs would be an option. I am using Monroe sensatrac coil over shocks in the rear of my expy to control sag when pulling my cargo trailer with 3-400 lbs of tongue weight. I think air bags might work better for someone who only pulls a trailer occasionally, since you can vary the pressure...
You've most likely got a vacuum leak. There's a bunch of lines under the hood. Some big, some small. Lots of rubber connectors that get brittle. Just spend some time looking and feeling and you'll probably find the problem. Just patch it with some rubber hose. Good luck!

Your voltage while running was low. There's a good possibility it's the alternator, but could also be a fault in the wiring going from the alternator to the battery. It'd be a good idea to check for continuity in that circuit.

If you're just looking to go 160k, then I'd say you're good. Wouldn't hurt to service the transmission. My 98 has 195k and going strong. Lots of life left in her

I suppose you should check all the wiring and connections coming to and from the battery, since you mentioned moving it around.

Sounds a lot like your alternator has failed. Your battery should be load tested after its fully charged to rule out any battery issues. You can check the alternator when the truck is running. Should be putting out around 14.4 volts.

I agree with stamp. Another tech at the same dealer, or swap dealers.

I don't think you've quite got a case. If anything, a call to ford corporate customer service will probably yield...
Is the axle stub moving freely within the splines of the hub assembly? It's been my experience that they freeze up there, not in the joint between the hub assembly and knuckle.

I would say a thin layer of gunk on the magnet is completely normal. That's been my experience on dozens of vehicles I've serviced.

I've driven both chevy and ford. I had a 76 K5 blazer that had over 300k miles on it when I sold it. My current expy is near 200k with no signs of stopping. If you really had two suburbans that only lasted 70k miles, then you're doing something wrong.
As to braking performance, I don't find my...
Would it be wiser to go with a motorcraft part? The price difference is not that much. I know many engines run better with oem spark plugs, but was unsure of O2 sensors.

I searched before asking...here and ford trucks forum. No real answer.
So, what brand O2 sensor is everyone using? Any reason to not use bosch? I'm going to replace my upstream sensors on my 98 5.4 soon. Thanks.
I'm pretty sure the pads are completely reversible/universal. The way it "hooks" in is important when replacing the caliper, since it kind of rotates in place.
