    Plug change... 235K and (surprise!)

    The plugs have never been changed. So. I sent it to a trusted local shop. Probably the best thing to do? Changing all the coil packs as well.

    New flywheel

    Had to have a flywheel put on Ruby Red... 220K on the clock. New starter, new flywheel... Under $1,000 out the door. First major repair she's had to have.

    Question about plugs

    Okay. I will not say I have read ALL of the threads/posts/bulletins..etc... about the crappy plugs in our ride. But, I will say that I spent a lot of time pouring through them. So here's my question. Will it help to gradually start spraying the carb cleaner into the plug wells ahead of time...

    2006 XLT... and got issues

    Wife and I have had this truck since about 2008. All was well. We ran it. We changed the oil, filter; air filter and battery when needed. Did the brakes on it. All was well. Year and a half ago, the truck developed major issues. It was hesitating, it was stumbling, couldn't step on the gas...

    06 XLT in South Texas

    With issues... total newb to working on these beasts, hoping for some insight! Truck is a 2006 XLT with 225,000 on the clock. She's in pretty good shape, just dang No. 4 cylinder. Had a buddy suggest the fuel filter might be the problem after changing coil pack like four times.

    No. 4 cylinder

    Having a bit of problem, had a bunch of engine codes on an 06 XLT. Got everything cleared, down to a 0304, replaced the coil pack... still have 0304 code, still have a miss, truck runs like crap-misses; and the engine light is flashing.
