I did a little bit of testing to find out if anything was still drawing on the battery. Ever since I fix the ground wire that was by the battery, all the problems seem to be resolved. Thanks for the advice guys
Thanks guys I believe it is resolved. Checked the battery, and the ground on the firewall was loose. Tightened it up and she started right up have not seem the lights on since. I do still need to follow through and do the test to see what's draining the battery.
I was thinking it has to do with the electrical system also. Considering something keeps draining my battery. Usually it has to sit for several days before going dead
98 expedition xlt 5.4 4WD auto
On my way to work the fuel and oil lights were coming on intermittently. The fuel is over 1/2 tank and the Oil pressure was good. Plugged in my logger to make sure. Any ideas at all on where to start. I have had something draining my battery lately as well
Hey guys I have a 98 expedition XLT with the 5.4 the a.c. worked great front and back it changes from floor to dash etc fine. However when i try and change it to heat the back works great, but the front has cool air coming out and no heat. I don't smell antifreeze when I have the heat on. I...
I have been searching the forums and online. I am trying to find someone that makes a 3in spindle lift for a 98 exp 4WD. The only thing I can seem to find is fronts for a 2wd. Does anyone know where I can get this for the front and rear?
Ok knocking things out left and right but everytime I do I find something else. The joys of not buying new. So No I am looking for a wiring diagram for the tail lights, rear blinkers etc. So ac motor was the resistors thats fixed. 4wd was the shift cable being slightly off so I would not allow...
Ok by the sound of it I think my 4wd issue is resolved. I have a lessor issue where my indicator on the dash is slightly off on the gear it is actually in. There is a small white clip broken under the dash connected to the indicator. Reached my hand under and adjusted it while in Neutral and...
Ok I'm at a loss at my new hiccup. A few months ago i replaced the transfer case shift motor and I was able to hear it changing from 2wd to 4 awd to 2h to 2L. Now that i finally get the front driveshaft on after fighting that stupid thing now I only have 2wd and 4 awd lights on the dash no 4hi...
Lol I will bet getting new rims and tires. Unfortunately the stock ones were bent badly do i took these off the parts truck. It was the resistor pick I replaced that with the one from my parts truck this morning. Thanks for the advice on that and the transmission heads up. We intend to basically...
Ok so i have been slowly moving through things that need to be repaired. I have fixed the cigarette lighters, attached the front driveshaft, repaired the exhaust leak. I'm moving now to a problem that I'm not sure what is causing it. My AC controls for the front ac only works on high. Any idea...
Are the lift kits for the f150 and expedition the same. I thou check it read the use the same frame, it seems like there are a lot more options for the f150 than the expedition?
Replaced the transfer case motor today, seems to have fixed the 4wd problem, but the previous owner disconnected the front drive shaft so There could be other issues. However i will have to wait until next weekend to reinstall that and test. Took the 22s off the parts truck.
Ok so here is where I am now. Just found out from the dealer i bought the trucks from that he cant get the title for the black one because the Honda dealership that took it as a trade and sold it to him, too many miles for them to sale on their lot, took in the wrong expy title from the original...
Great info here and I am a bit curious, after reading this i did some net investigation, and it seems like the 4 v heads will bolt up to the 2v and 3v block as the Mod blocks. That being said by changing the timing chain, heads, and timing front covers would that work with the current harness...
Hey guys about a month ago i picked up a 98 4x4 expy and a 99 EB expy for a price of 1400, the EB was supposed to have a blown motor. Since then i have tuned up the 4x4 and inspected the EB, it was missing 3 coils once replaced it runs great. Now i am for sure keeping the 4X4 and unsure about...
OK so I did not get around to changing the shift motor, Decided I should spend a week or so spraying rust bolts with PB blaster so I dont break any, Where this is located I wont be able to get a drill in to tap the hole if I break something. I did, however finally get the inside cleaned really...
It's running great now tomorrow I'm changing the transfer case motor for the 4 wheel drive and swing if that's the issue with that. I read a lot of posts about it going bad and it is very rusted
