2019 Model actual MPG way lower than expected

It sounds like your engine is not completely broken in yet. When I first got my '16 it was getting an avg 15 mpg. Now at 30k, I'm at an avg of 18 mpg. A F150 buddy with an EB 3.5 works his truck hard and gets an avg 22 mpg "unloaded." I'm convinced normal driving will not sufficiently break...

Can you tell if Expy has tow package based off VIN?

If you need a quick visual for the HD tow package, there's a trailer brake controller on the dash, left of center.

    Catch Can rape alternative

Yes sir! It's damp here in the NW with a lot of stop and go traffic. A few months back during the driest part of the summer, 3/4 of tank would get about 1/8 full in the cup.

    Catch Can rape alternative

I'm using the JLT can on my '16 and after 3/4 of a tank of gas, the catch can is between 1/2 to 3/4 full depending on weather.

Rec: Don't Use Spray Valve Cleaner!

Thanks Lokiwolf! that's the port I was looking for. Do I need some sort of cap with a hole drilled in it to spray in? or will the sensors play nice with that line disconnected? That's exactly the cleaner I'm using. Good stuff! Last question. Do you remove your IC to clean it or did you...

Rec: Don't Use Spray Valve Cleaner!

Hi Mike, I tried the CRC intake valve and turbo cleaner at the manifold map sensor and then, before the throttle body and it caused the engine to over rev both times. I think the map sensor(s) will detect a low boost/no vacuum condition causing the engine to rev high. It worked fine spraying...

    Hello from Washington!

Sorry for the late replies, I should check here more often... fordexpylvr: Thanks! You're going to like your '17. No salt here. I remembered one time there was an ice storm and they salted the roads ONCE. My 03 explorer I bought here in 06 has absolutely no rust on the bottom. I think...

Any opinions on US made/owned tires for my needs? '14 4WD.

If you're open to this suggestion, the Michelin Defender LTX M/S is worth looking into. Its country of origin is in Canada/USA, it has the highest/best treadwear/grip rating I've seen in a tire, UTQG 800AA, and quite a few people seem happy with them including myself. I have them on my...

    Ecoboost Oil Change

I was also thinking of going reusable/lifetime filters but none I've seen have anti-drainback valves. In my explorer, the filter mounts upright so I'm not worried about antidrainback valves. Since the ecoboost filter mounts sideways, I think it's going to need one. Are there any...

    Hello from Washington!

I'm Ray, recently purchased a 2016 Expedition Limited in Ingot Silver with 20k on the clock. So far, I installed a JLT oil catch which seems to work well! Looking into other goodies to shower the new baby with. I look forward to sharing stories and ideas with everyone!
