2017 XLT, manual 3rd row, standard (small screen) Sync and I have an intermittent 'clicking' sound in the passenger side of the cargo area.
Sounds a bit like a relay clicking, but not even sure what would be back there. No error messages, nothing acting up, just an intermittent clicking.
Did a...
I've got the dreaded TPMS light that won't shut off.
All of my laptops are chromebooks. Am I out of luck?
I searched for Chromebook and forscan and got no hits...
FYI, if you have high back boosters in the middle row it is a GIANT pain in the ass to get to the rear seats. (Ask me how I know).
I think the Ford mechanism is the worst I've seen for car seats. You have to flip the headrest Forward before you can unlock the tilt part. If you have a high back...
Yeah, I HATE the small 4-inch screen. Otherwise, the SYNC system is good enough. This seems like the only real plug and play option out there.
They have a slightly smaller screen that seems to fit the space better and has tactile knobs and buttons.
I'm really on the fence.
2017 XLT
I was out for a quick trip for lunch (truck been sitting all morning) and I noticed my brake pedal felt slightly 'different'. The pedal travel seemed slightly longer but it still stopped just fine.
To be safe, I stopped by the dealer and they checked out the brakes and saw nothing out...
It's also worth checking out your bulbs. When I switched out my bulbs to LEDS in my 2017, there was signs of heat damage from the incandescent bulbs. Worth a look if you can't find anything else obvious.
EDIT: My rear bulbs
FYI, after thawing out I finally did some testing and I found it was the weatherstripping not sealing correctly.
I compared the driver's door to the passenger's door and noticed the corner was crushed on the driver's side.
I ordered and installed some universal weather stripping over the...
I've got a 2017 XLT and it doesn't have the power hatch.
The Twin-Turbo V6 is a torquey engine and it gets pretty decent gas mileage for a giant brick.
I switched mine out because of aesthetics and because out the light output. It looks and performs better than the stock ones.
Also, when I replaced the rear bulbs there was heat damage in the bulb housings.
Finally, should never have to replace them.
:)
FWIW, no cutting is necessary with the bulbs from SuperBrightLEDs.

I got mine from them and it's plug and play. If you don't feel like cutting and splicing.
You're right, but it would at least potentially confirm the issue and provide data for a more long term solution. The other solution is to tear apart the doors and install new weather stripping, which I'm not prepared to do. Yet.
Thanks for helpful comment.
I used SuperBrightLEDs when I changed mine on my 2017 Expedition.
According to them, they are the same bulb.

Makes me wonder if the previous owner had Vent Visors on the windows or something. Might grab a cheap pair and see if that closes the gap.
Though they aren't my favorite mod. Does anyone make low-profile ones that don't make me look like I borrowed Grandpa's truck? :D
+1 for adding LED bulbs. I just got my Expedition in December and it was the first thing I changed. The housings already showed signs of heat damage.
I have no affiliation with them but I got my bulbs from SuperBrightLEDs and have been very happy with the results...
