I just swapped an engine into my 01 Expedition with the 4.6L. I am having a high idle issue. When the truck is cranked it idles around 1500 and never comes back down even once it is warm. The idle normally stays around 1500 but will go up to 1800 then come back down to 1500. I have let the truck idle for about 30 minutes two different times and it does the same thing. The throttle cables are not pulling the throttle open, and I was trying to find leaks last night with carb cleaner but I could not find anything. No check engine light. Any ideas? Where is the coolant temp sensor located? Thanks for any help.
