Sup ford fans, I have 01 expedition XLT 4x4 I use my vehicle for Baptist disaster relief put 186,000 mi on it across country I've had problems with the back left caliper just recently
seized up and ford put all new rotors and and all new calipers on it about a month later kind of retired from the disaster a relief program coming back from Walmart the new back left caliper freezes up again both times where I've had to get the fire extinguisher out thinking it was going to burn down brake line could catch on fire. so they replaced the second one free replacement. just wanted to know if anybody could think anything internal with the axle when it's under load could be shifting anything out of alignment that's causing this one calipers to freeze up. The back left is the power all torque.
All the break lines in great condition.
thank you
God bless, please stay safe.☝️

I had the same issues, with both sides. Both had sticking pistons. Ford used steel pistons on this model. The slightest bit of rust, they don't release. The only fix is replacing. The second issue was the emergency brake. The cables and brake shoes rust and don't release. The 'drum in hat' rotor was lousy design that Ford quit using. The use of steel cables on any vehicle, is a repair waiting to happen. Soon as water or salt hits them, it's a matter of time. Good luck.
