Hello!

I am in the process of removing a very leaky power steering pump. I would like to remove just the pump and leave the pressure line connected to the steering rack. Is this possible? Or is the best/easiest way to do this to remove the pump and leave it connected to the pressure line when doing so?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

I can now answer my own question: it is a real pain in the butt to attempt to remove the pump without taking the pressure hose along with it. I removed them together and decided to just replace the hose in the process. Case closed.

I would have done the same. If it is a B###ch to get to & is only a few bucks more, replace and not be concerned about later.
Good Job :boxing::boxing:
