I will do this tomorrow when I get home and post results. Put jumper back on pins 30 and 87, and let you know what isn’t working-got it!
The diagrams make sense after you explain what is supposed to happen-thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

DC circuits are easy Think of them like water flowing thru a pipe start at one point and just follow the lines. Understanding the components and what they do may be a little confusing.

Look at the prints follow the line to fuse 401 then follow each line from 401 and you will see what fuse 401 provides power to then do the same for fuse 22

So-401 supplies power to master window adjust switch. 22 powers door locks, window switches, and roof opening. Did I get that right? And it looks like the delay relay sends power to both fuse 22and 401? I would have never figured out how the instrument panel comes into play.

Your somewhat correct You at least have a good idea of what is going on now Keep in mind these prints are for an 03 model and are almost the same as your 04 However there are a few differences

I'll get back to you tomorrow

Fused jumper back on pins 30 and 87....with the key off, the radio and windows (including moon roof) work and the window switches are illuminated. Key on-wipers, blower work. Still not working: auto headlights, interior lights, no info readout on the dash, no buzzer when keys are in the switch, 4wd indicator not working. I wasn't sure if I should start it with the jumper wire to see if the 4wd indicator came on when it was running and to see if the gauges work (I am assuming they do not but I am not certain). Should I start it?

Same things still do not work-4wd, auto headlights, interior lights, dash info, buzzer for key in switch, gauges. Starting it made no difference.

OK Now I know you said fuses were ok But that was before you had a understanding of the Meter

Need for you to check all fuses and let me know what is good and if any are blown

Key may need to be in the run position to test some of the fuses

Any fuse that appears to be bad you may have to pull and check with the ohm meter

I do remove the jumper-I will take a look a the dvd-thank you! I did test the fuses yesterday with the meter as I was testing the ones you listed. That’s why I noticed #8 wasn’t working! I will go back out and recheck.

Mini fuses 7 and 22 of course still don’t have any voltage as well as 42, 36 (I see they are for trailer signals) and 8 still doesn’t work. I tried starting vehicle and pressing rear defrost button. The button will not stay on. 23 and 25 have voltage with low beams on; 35 works with high beams on. I started to test the maxi fuses but after spending what seemed like a lifetime fishing the little plastic cover out from under the wad of wires for the radio, I had to give up for now (it’s cold in my garage)! I assume I need to test all of those as well? The first 4 tested good. Is that how you test the maxis....by popping off the little clear plastic cover?

OK fuse #7 will only have power when the key is in the start position
Fuse #8 will only have power when the rear window defrost relay is energized

And we know 22 is good when you use the jumper

Yes removing the covers is about the only way to check them while they are in the socket

I have the same problem with my read defrost Seems when the controls are cold they won't come on but after everything heats up then the button will work. Haven't had a chance to check into it yet

Ok-I will forget about the rear defrost for now until I get the vehicle up to temp to check it again. I did have the key on while checking fuses. So #7 should have had power? The radio did come on when I have the jumper in place though. I will check the rest of the maxi fuses and post results. Happy Thanksgiving!

#7 only has power in the start position You will not see power with the key in the on/run position Only when the engine is cranking over.

Sending you a PM check your in box
