I have a 2004 XLT 5.4L 4x4 with 130K miles. Its had a funny vibration for the last couple of years. Could come at anytime or any speed above 50mph, doesn't matter if its in 4WD or not. First they thought it was front driveshaft bearings. Then a hub. Neither fixed the problem.
Now they are finding metal in the transfer case and believe its coming from there.
I'm looking for a used transfer case on ebay and all of them have numbers
2L14-7A195-B?. I can find the 2L14 and a BG on my transfer case, but have never found 7A195 anywhere.
I have other numbers on the tab on the transfer case. All the listings say BA, BB, BC, BG will fix with these numbers.
Can someone verify that this will fit my truck? And what does the 7A195 number designate? Where can I find that?
