Well I'm in a pickle! I framed my 2nd-gen FX4 on a sneaky rock and trashed my transfer case skid plate. It's not so bad that it can't be hammered out and rebent, but some of the bolt holes are a little larger than intended, now. In my limited research I've seen the only viable option for replacement is via a junk yard. The only SKU I could find so far is 2L1Z-7E063-AA. This part seems to be sold out and discontinued (unsurprisingly). So here's where we're at:
1. What options for replacement are there?
2. What vehicles came with a transfer case skid plate, besides the FX4 trim?

Thanks to all for any insight!

The skid plates were standard with the FX4 package, and I believe an option on all others. That said it must not have been a popular option, I have not actually seen the skid plates under any Gen2 Expedition I have ever been under.

You might try car-parts.com. It's an auto salvage database basically. The other thing is some salvage yards will check their own database for you. The local yard here will search for parts and get them shipped to their yard for me.
