What are they getting in town in cold climates? Wifey has a 5 mile commute not over 45 mph and we are usually in the low teens for temps in the morning. I'll have to wait a few weeks to check myself as this Ex doesn't have the economy computer. On that note i have another thread going in the electrical forum on how to install one if anyone knows how............................

Good thing you made this thread. I just went on a trip to disney world over the weekend (6 hour drive) and my average MPG was 19.2 according to the overhead digital display. I reached this average by not getting on the pedal heavy and keeping the acceleration below 2,000 RPM. I had the cruise set at 70 but on the way back i wanted to experiment a little bit, so I set the cruise for 80-85 at certain times and the MPG started to drop pretty quickly.

However for in town driving i usually average anywhere from 13-5 to 14-8

Some things that might help out MPG are fresh oil change, new fuel filter, tune up and if the truck is really bad a fuel injector flush or fuel injector replacement. And of course the most obvious accelerating decent.
