Bought our 05 EB a tad over a month ago. I went from an 03 1500HD Silverado to an 03 Sport Trac XLT 4X4. Great for a small truck, was what we needed at the time. Now we needed more interior cargo capacity.
I grew up in a GM family and always had Chevys, Oldmobiles, Buicks, a smattering of Pontiac and Cadillac here and there. I inherited Dad's 03 1500HD with **2800** miles in Dec 04. It made for a pretty good family vehicle....for a while. With a 90 mile round trip daily commute 11-12MPG wasn't gonna cut it. Got SWMBO the Sport Trac and I started driving our small fleet of Volvos.
Now we needed a large SUV again....We shopped Tahoes & Suburbans & Yukons & even Escalades; Expeditions & Navigators...even flirted with an Excursion once.
SWMBO was impressed with the Expy's, especially the EB's. Our budget kept us away from the new dealer's used lots and the rif-raf lots around here seemed to have nothing but ragged-out, abused junk with gazzilions of miles.
We ended up buying our 05 from a private owner. I am the sixth owner(!) but the report showed that it was a local truck, always in small towns around NC that I am familiar with. Photos can be seen in my profile album.....
Anyway, I'm a big fan of vehicle forums and the communities that center around them. I've been on a Volvo forum for over 12 years. I have been on the GM Truck forum, two Sport Trac forums, and a Corvair forum. I am currently a member on a Chrysler Sebring list, a Mustang II forum, CrownVic.net, and finally Expedition Forum.
I look forward to getting to know folks here and getting to know my Expy!
