07 EL Limited 51k. I will be due for rear brakes in a few months. Any issues with removing the rear rotors with the internal parking brake system?

Why not just replace the pads on the back. At 51000 probably not much wear on the rotor.

Funny you should say that. I am usually not a fan of pad slapping my brakes, but I had some spare time and stopped at the library. Chiltons manual states, that manufacturers recomondation is that if the rotors do not have deep scratches or are darkened by overheating do not replace or resurface the rotors. Yes I have plenty pad left. I am the guy who rotates my own tires and checks pad wear and lubes the mounts and slides each time. I guess just pads will do. Thanks
